Kalaghatgi is a taluka located in Dharwad district of Karnataka. It is one of the 7 taluka's in Dharwad district. There are 87 villages and one town in Kalaghatgi taluka. Kalaghatgi is famous for its 'CRADLES' and very famous for temples like Basavanna Temple, Tambur; Kalameshwar Temple, Kamadhenu; Mahalaxmi Temple, Kalaghatgi; Holy Roseray Church, Tumarikoppa; Saat Sayed Mosque and others. It is also well known for its religious jaatra which is meant for the Grama Devate which occurs once in every three years.
